Immediately after a historic appearance at the first Earthshot awards ceremony in Alexandra Palace, the African music diva Yemi Alade arrives with the music video for the Empress’s Afro-Pop show “Double Double”.
Double Double is a song that tells a classic story from grass to grace, and the video illustrates that perfectly.
Filmed by Clarence Peters, the video shows an all-too-familiar story in African culture in which a woman (played by Nollywood icon Ada Ameh) is embarrassed by her relatives for not providing her husband with sons; And at some point the girl (played by Miss Alade) becomes the most successful in the community.
