Concerned about her father’s reported absence, Damilola accused her stepbrother Dayo—whom she called KSA’s manager—of taking the veteran musician captive and mishandling his affairs on Monday.

Damilola accused Dayo of “stealing” from her father and preventing others from seeing him in a string of tearful social media posts.

She said, “Dad told my brother that he wants to go home,” and demanded that Dayo be arrested. He’s where? What happened to his phones? He hasn’t been answering his phone or going online. “Where is he?”

She further wrote: “I want Dayo (manager) to be arrested.” They have been taking money from him, and I want him to give me all of it. He believes he can run and has a UK visa.

King Sunny Ade, however, addressed the rumors head-on in a live broadcast on Tuesday, assuring his followers that he is still performing live and in excellent condition.

He added that he was on his way to another performance and that he had performed at an event in Lekki, Lagos, over the weekend.

I wasn’t abducted by anyone. I pray because I don’t want to be abducted. I think I’m the object of everyone’s affection. My name is King Sunny Ade. I must express my gratitude to God and my fans for your concern. I’ve been performing in my concerts. Last Saturday, I attended a performance in Lekki, Lagos. I am currently in route to perform, and I will return to Lagos to perform once more. Therefore, I can only express my gratitude to God and to you,” KSA added.

Additionally, King Sunny Ade praised his global fan base and Nigerians for their concern. He admitted that some of his children might not have seen him recently, which could have caused the mistake.

“I am aware that my kids adore me and are eager to see me. I didn’t leave the house. I am this person. I also want to thank the kids for their care,” he continued.
