I Was Talking About Jesus – Odumodublvck Speaks On Reason His Mic Was Cutoff During Headies

Speaking through his X account, he said that his reference to I was talking about Jesus Christ was the reason for the cut-off, implying that the interruption may not have happened if he had instead mentioned Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Odumodublvck stated that he had no animosity toward the Headies Award organizers in spite of the occurrence.

He was thankful that his microphone was ultimately switched back on so he could finish and deliver his message.

Declaring that “Jesus is king,” he restated his support for Jesus Christ. He is here now and always will be.

“They tried to stop me from talking about Jesus,” Odumodublvck stated. I have no doubt that I wouldn’t have been interrupted if I had been discussing His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. I truly have no animosity toward the Headies; instead, I am appreciative that they gave me a microphone again so I could share the gospel.

Carter Efe, a musician and sketch creator, has criticized the Headies Awards organizers for including the late artist Mohbad in their nomination.

Efe asserted that the organizers nominated the late singer in an attempt to gain influence.

According to Naija News, Mohbad received nominations for the 17th Headies in two categories: Viewers’ Choice Award for his partnership with Chike and Best Street-Hop Artiste of the Year.

In Lagos on Sunday, the posthumous honor was given to the singer’s widow, Omowunmi, and their son.

Carter Efe, however, responded to the news in a social media video, accusing the awards’ organizers of having hidden agendas.

According to him, Headies has never presented Mohbad with an award while he was still living, but they are now doing it after his passing.

“Why do Headies misbehave now and then nominate Mohbad?” he said in pidgin. Did Wetin force them to put Mohbad forward? But they didn’t give a damn when the boy was alive. Anything to gain influence is what the Headies do.

Mohbad passed away in September 2023 in contentious circumstances; he has not yet been buried.
