Folarin Falana, also known as, is a Nigerian musician and activist who has called the 2020 #EndSARS movement one of the most difficult and crazy times in his life.
Falz revealed this at the #WithChude Live performance, which took place at the Eko Hotels on Victoria Island last Sunday, according to Naija News.
Falz emphasized that he had no regrets about being a part of the movement while discussing activism and justice, pointing out that fighting for justice is about humanity and compassion rather than seeking praise or approval.
The singer-turned-Nollywood actor also cites his father, Femi Falana (SAN), a well-known attorney and human rights advocate, as an inspiration and activist role model.
“It was one of the most crazy and difficult periods of my life,” he remarked. However, I have no regrets about it. Never regret doing what I think is right is a lesson I learned. The Endsars demonstrations, the conflict, and the bond we all experienced were all significant. I am happy that I took part.
“I’m not doing it for any one person. It has to do with my strong feelings. It has to do with empathy. It has to do with humanity.
Falz has continuously spoken out against police brutality and poor government using his platform. In his “Johnny” video, he honored victims of police violence while bringing attention to the hardships that young Nigerians suffer.
