‘I Cannot Buy Fake Life’ – Portable Rants Over Snub At Headies Award

Controversial Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as , has criticized his teammates after being rejected at the 2025 Headies Awards.

Portable questioned the integrity of the Headies award, stating that they are sold rather than earned, and he will not buy since he prefers to utilize his profits on actual assets.

 

Taking delight in his recent collaboration with UK rapper, Skepta, Portable claimed that genuine appreciation rests in global relationships, not local honors.

According to him, Skepta and he won the prize, but the organisers refused to give it to them.

 

Portable also highlighted his desire for long-term investments, stating that he cannot purchase artificial life.

 

He remarked, “You’re not successful, you only bought award. They ridicule me because I wasn’t granted the honor, but I have money. I use it to buy my autos. I’m successful. I’ve dropped an album. Are you more successful than I am? Who listens to your music?

 

“Skepta and Portable, we are the owners of the award, but they said they won’t give us.

 

“I would use my money to buy land, buy houses, I cannot buy fake life.”
