Bad Boy Timz drops new EP ‘WA JO PA’

Bad Boy Timz new Song Wa jo pa EP ALBUM real name Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, is a Nigerian Afropop phenomenon who has recently released an 8-track EP Following his 2023 debut album No Unsuitable Boy, No Celebration, which included heavyweights like as Olamide and Zlatan, the soundless EP is Timz’s first major release of 2025 and showcases his continued brilliant progression. Known for his breakout 2020 single MJ and his ability to combine highway intensity with captivating melodies, the Bells University computer engineering graduate provides a project that praises life and demonstrates his versatility.

WA JO PA, which translates to “Dance Till You Burst” in Yoruba, lives true to its name with compositions that combine Afrobeats’ rhythmic core with soundless pop and highway elements. The EP includes pre-released singles such as Advise Wetin, an engrossing anthem celebrating Nigerian Pidgin English, and Later, which blends Afrobeats with current rhythms, as well as unreleased tracks such as Tall Engine, a dancefloor banger celebrating shiny ladies, and Yo-Yo, a standout song praised for its extra special energy. The EP, created in fragments by Reward Beatz (songs 1, 2, 4, and 7), is a rich tapestry of sounds that showcase Timz’s progression from his early days with Nameless Music to his later work with Shock Absorbers and EMPIRE.

Timz, who won Rookie of the Year at The Headies in 2020, goes solo on this record, relying on his strong vocals and composition to carry the EP, a risky move that may pay off given its coherent tone. Tall Engine’s tracks are already well-known for their “infectious Asewo vibes,” and the entire record has been dubbed “no skip” by fans, indicating its consistent excellence. The release corresponds with Timz’s self-sustaining trajectory, following his reported label problems in 2021, and strengthens his position in Afropop, where he has built a niche with successes like Loading and Tall Money.
