A few days after helping Argentina and other Argentine stars win the 2022 World Cup, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez of Argentina has kept making fun of French attacker Kylian Mbappe.

Martinez, despite Mbappe scoring four goals against him in the World Cup final on Sunday, December 18, made some crucial saves throughout the game and during the penalty kicks to help Argentina win its third World Cup.

Martinez and Mbappe’s “fight” dates back to before the World Cup even started. Mbappé claimed that European teams had an advantage over South American ones at the World Cup because European football is of a higher caliber.

Martinez was spotted carrying a baby doll with Mbappe’s face during Argentina’s trophy parade on Tuesday, December 20. Martinez had previously observed a minute of silence for Mbappe and announced that the French striker is dead during Argentina’s dressing room celebration on Sunday.

While seated next to Lionel Messi, a fellow PSG player of Mbappe’s, the goalkeeper was seen holding the toy.
